Leadership

Here is a collection of some of ideas I’ve been playing with for a few years. Some of these things pop up in daily conversation and references. Some are gleanings and learnings I have pulled from colleagues and mentors, others by relaying what I have been reading or listening to.

All of them resonated with me once I saw the patterns or principles show up in other parts of my life, by connecting those dots through intuition. Some are acutely about design or strategy, but most are more broad than that, applicable throughout life, both personally and professionally.

Some of these thoughts have been tumbled and polished or distilled and concentrated enough through the years to become simple maxims.

Others are still in the midst of being articulated.

Thinking is the act of articulating. Writing is the act of rewriting. Originality is the act of remembering what you heard, but forgetting where you heard it - being forced to reassemble it in a fresh way.
